Question about Black & Decker 19" Electric Lawnhog Mulching Mower
I want to convert my mower from cordless to electric if possible
I converted mine simply by swapping the motor from another "freebie". Up and running in about 30-45 minutes.

I will be converting a 24 volt cordless lawnmower to 120 volt cord input when I get some electronics parts. I found a Craftsman 20" lawnmower at the curb that requires new batteries that the original owner didn't want to buy as they would cost $120. This lawnmower uses 2 12 volt, 20 amp hour gel cells. I plan to get an electronic component called a bridge rectifier rated at 25 amps which converts the AC to DC and connect it to a step down transformer to change the 120 volt house line voltage to something slightly above 24 volts. I will mount this in the empty battery holder bracket in the lawnmower and use any necessary terminal strips and marrette connectors to secure the wiring and possibly house it in a plastic electronics project box. The thing to remember when doing this kind of modification is to make all connections neatly and in a safe manner such as using heat shrink insulation and possibly some kind of fuse or circuit breaker in the circuit so if there is a current overload the transformer doesn't burn out. This is what I will try but if you or anyone else is unsure about working with electricity do this at your own risk.

I assume you mean convert it to corded, connected to the mains; cordless is electric as well.
It is possible but there are conversion losses as compared to using a 'native' AC corded mower motor.
It also depends on why you want to convert it. If you find the battery unit underpowered, adding a 12v power supply and cord will not solve that, it will just extend the run-time to continuous, assuming the motor does not overheat, as it is probably designed to match the battery run length for on/off cycle times.
You could consider trading, or selling yours and buying a corded mower.
