This could be from not enough hose or your pool returns are aimed in a way that creates a current in the pool that drives the cleaner into the steps and won't let it out. Change the angle of these first then ck the hoses.

My aquabot keeps trying to come out of the pool

Aquabots are interesting little robots! They're made to clean the entire surface of the bottom of the pool, and in regards to cleaning the sides, they are programed to climb walls, but once they reach the surface the programming recognizes the specific angle of the top and sends it back down the wall. Normally an Aquabot should never leave the pool. It should reach the surface and go back down the wall to continue cleaning. Good luck!

With these pool cleaners, there are several things that you should try. First, make sure that you have proper waterflow. Too little or too much water flow into the cleaner can alter the movement and cause the cleaner to stay in one area or hang on steps. Check and clean your rear screen and make sure that you cone gear rotates both ways smoothly. If none of these seems to correct the problem, you will probably have to replace the gear box.

My pool vacuum just goes in circles and my other one same make is getting stuck on the pool walls

With these automatic pool cleaners, if they are going in circles, it could be one of a few problems. First, your water flow might be functioning incorrectly. Check the water flow gauge and make sure that is coming out evenly. Adjust if necessary. Also, make sure that you do not have a worn shoe or wing on one side of the cleaner. Also, make sure the navigator throat is not obstructed on one side. The same problems could be preventing it from climbing, but for that problem, you will also want to check that the hose is not too short and that the tension in the rear flap is correct.

Navigator Pool Cleaner: the right wing of my navigator is not moving nearl...

It sounds like it might be a problem with your return pressure. Make sure that you are getting even pressure released on both sides of your automatic pool cleaner. Pick it up while it is on and see if you are getting more pressure on one side. If you are, adjust your valve. If you seem to be getting even pressure, it could be that you did not install the shoes or wings correctly. Check to be sure that both sides are installed properly and evenly.

I am looking for the suction cap that goes into the pool wall, for the hayward navigator ingroung pool . The cap broke off the one I have.

This is called a Vac-Loc by brand name and any pool store should stok this. Before you can screw this out of the wall check for a small stanless steel alan screw that goes threw the flange and is a set screw into the wall fitting. Loosten or remove this and the old one will come out easer. Good luck.

Our Navigator goes around in circles and when it gets to the wall it simply stops. Everything on the outside seems to be okay and not very worn. Is this a gear problem or could something be stuck inside?

Internally, there is a part called the A-frame that has two wheels with ball bearings. There is one on each side and it is what causes the feet to move. Sometimes these wear out and the bearings fall out. This can cause one side to have more movement that the other thus walking in circles. I would first make sure that your pool cleaners shoes and wings are in good working order. If they are worn or damaged, replacing them should correct the problem. You might also need to check the tension in the rear flap.

Hayward Navigator gets stuck at wall

I have had the same Navigator for many, many years. I have replaced it's guts, pods, feet and gears whenever things wear out. I have a vinyl pool and it works great. I had a problem with it charging into the wall and just sit there beating it's feet ..... now this was my solution, and I'm surprised that Navigator has not altered the design to deal with getting stuck against a wall. This will sound CRAZY but it works great!! Take a plastic lid for a 5 gallon bucket and cut out a round-nose for the front of your navigator. The curved shape is prefect and you can notch the plastic lid and it will snug right into the Navigator body. This gives your Navigator a round-nose and it will never get stuck against a wall again.
