check the belt on the side of beater brush take out screws in the bottom lift up plate and check the belt it either to loose or to tight or broke. You have to replace them every so offend.

I tried everything and this is what solved the problem of the brush not turning and no suction on the brush area. I took off the lid where the roller brush is and cleaned the sided of the roller brush, it was frozen tightly from HAIR. Used a small knife to get it all. AI pulled out all that hair and now it works!! yay!!
