Door closed before disk was in correctly & now door is stuck closed with disk incorrectly

Straighten a paperclip. On the face of most disk players there is a small hole. Push the paper clip into the hole, and the disk tray should release. Pull the tray out to it's full extension. Power being on or off is immaterial. Hope this help.

DVD Player tray Door Continues to Open

I had this problem and it turned out to be the gears on the door drive. There are two gears, one that engages the rack on the tray and one that has a slot that drives the clamping action to hold the DVD. These two gears were misaligned by one tooth. This prevented the gear with the slot from turning freely after the door was closed.
To fix it I had to take out the tray assembly, disasemble it, and reassemble it with the gears properly aligned. You need to remove the top and back of the case. Then take out two screws at the rear of the tray assembly and three screws on the circuit board attached to the tray assembly. Unplug the connections to that board. Slide out the tray assembly. Now you can pop the top off of the tray assembly by pulling out two tabs and sliding the top toward the rear. Now you can get to the gears to adjust them. The slotted gear should be able to turn freely for about 1/4 turn when the tray is closed. Make sure the pin on the clamping part is in the slot when you reassemble it.

Tray will not stay closed

This fault usually happens if the disc being read is not compatible with the player's firmware.
If discs are burnt from a computer, or copies, this can happen.
Does it do this with all DVD's?
Are you using commercial retail DVD's?
Otherwise something else is telling the player 'No Disk'.
Try a disc-based lens cleaner as laser may be grubby.
Or the laser diode could be defective.

Dvd, fix it or pitch it?

no these are legitamate questions, the one that wont eject is probably out of timing someone could have pushed the door closed instead of pushing the button a lot of people dont realize this can harm a player what you would have to do to fix this is open it with the power off then plug it in and let the power close it that will normally fix that problem. the one that reads no disk listen and feel for it to spin the disk when turned on if the disk dont spin it wont work let me know what it does or doesnt do. the x box could be a lot of things but listen for disk to spin in it also and get back with me some might be fixable some might not.due to cost

DVD PLAYER PROBLEM

Sounds like a common problem with this trutech brand. There are some possibilities. 1. Laser could be worn out, 2 it could be a bad cable coming from the laser. 3 The home switch for the laser to come all the way back to its "HOME" position could be bad. But usually if this is the case, the disc won't spin at all. And 4th, the spindle motor that spins the disc could be worn out. Causing the disc not to spin fast enough and thus causing an error. Let me know if you want to send me one of these anyone so as i can trouble shoot the problem further. Keep me posted and i hope this helps you out some. Thank you Jay
