Wires are correct. I don't understand why terminals 2 and 3 are 0 volts but # 1 is hot. This is why there's NO power the 2 sensors. ???????

Are you sure you connected the wiring to the new board correctly? Terminal #1 should have a white wire with red tracer. Terminal #2 should have 3 solid white wires and terminal #3 should have 2 white wires with black tracer.

Does the opener do anything at all?

Door suddenly will not close without holding the button down continuously that is inside the garage. The remote button will open the door but not close it. The door starts to close and stops right away.

It definitely sounds like a sensor problem. In normal operation, one sensor will have an amber or yellow light on, indicating power to the sensing circuit. The opposite sensor should have a green light on. If the yellow light is not on there is no power to the circuit due to a broken wire or circuit board failure. If the green light is not on or is flickering, the sensors are not aimed at each other or the light path is blocked.

Door closes on push button if held all the time, it will then open on the handset but wont close with it the light just flases on and off any ideas emailed liftmaster no reply, Regards Don

Unfortunately, the problem is your main circuit board in the unit. You are going to have to replace the board in order to get it to work properly again. I've had the same trouble with my Liftmaster, twice. Both times, the circuit board got hit by a power surge, most likely lightning-related.

Look in the web site for your local repair/service company for Liftmaster, and go purchase the circuit board for your particular unit. I installed mine myself, saving a service call and labor charge (not at all difficult to replace, maybe 4 screws, and the plug goes in only one way). After replacing the board, plug the unit back into the outlet, then you'll have to reprogram your transmitters to the receiver/power head unit.

Chamberlain Liftmaster GDO just clicks, no lights no open/close

Pull the logic board and check it for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit. Thunderstorms love logic boards.

I have two liftmaster's model 2500 one will not

I have the very same problem. I have 2 Liftmaster 2500, 1/2HP openers installed in a 2 car garage. They are merely 15 feet apart in my garage ceiling. About 15months ago one stopped working by only the remotes. Went through the process of reprogramming the good one 1st and replaced batteries in the remotes, then trying to reprogram the one not working. Checked for radio interference near the one not working no LED or Halogen Lights, no wall tarnsformers, no cell phone interference etc... Nothing worked to on the 2nd
opener in trying to get the remotes working again.
I then purchased a New Logic Board, part number 41A5507-B. It was about $70 and then installed it in the 2nd opener which is not working. Tried to get the remotes programed - still nothing? I was baffled. I called Liftmaster - the only suggestion they gave me was was to totally unplug the GOOD opener and try the reprogramming up close to the 2nd door opener that's not been working. SURE enough - the Opener Remotes "Learned" okay and started working! Liftmaster Help line indicated that the thought to be GOOD opener actual had the defective Logic board and it was over powering the signal from the 2nd opener which was not working. I'll be taking the New Logic board and replacing it in the 1st opener.
Thank you Liftmaster for the help !

My liftmaster 2265 1/2 hp remote does not close

If the door starts to close and the main light flashes 10 times and the door reverses to the open position it is a problem with the door sensors. Make sure they are pointed at one another and they each have a small light that must be on and not flickering.

If it starts to close but reverses and the main light does not flash 10 times it is possibly the RPM sensor which is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor.

I have a liftmaster garage door opener 1/3 hp. One side has a green light the other has a yellowish orange lignt on and it has stopped working. What is wrond with it?

Check for power at the outlet. Plug in a small radio or lamp. If you have power there I would remove the logic board and check for burnt or missing traces on the printed circuit board especially around the small transformer.

Installed new opener and everything worked properly. 2days later the safety sensor doesn't work. The amber and green lights are not lit and the door won't go down. This is a Chamberiain 1/2 hp chain drive....

If you haven't yet, double check the wiring on the back of the motor unit. A wire could have broken or just come loose. If your opener is new it will be in warranty.

Garage door does not reverse

Hi again, Thank you for getting back to me, this indicates that the main unit is OK and one or both of the sensors is bad. The basic principle of the safety circuit is that the circuit is complete or connected until broken by an object, There are several different types of sensors the most common is an led transmitter on one side and an optical receiver on the other, which shines a beam of light that requires the sensors to be aligned to "see" each other. The light on the sensor indicates that it sees the beam and if you wave your hand in front of it, it should go out indicating that it doesn't thus breaking the circuit. The light constantly on indicates something shorted in one of the sensors. You could probably hook them up one at a time to see which one might be at fault but then again you would want to replace them as a pair, and a new pair of sensors should put you back in working order. Good Luck, this should Fixsya!
