What do you mean by "fully connect"? How far are you from the router? Xfinity has a weaker WiFi signal than most companies. I had them and could not get a good signal when I went to my bedroom from my office (a distance of about 50' with four walls between them).
You could ask them for a stronger router, though I doubt they have one or else they will charge you more on your monthly bill for it. You can also check online for WiFi boosters. They seem to have problems too. Look to YouTube or Instructibles for building your own, inexpensive, booster (usually free if you don't mind it LOOKING homemade).
Hope this helped.
Need more info:
Virgin Router # (should be on label on bottom of unit)
What does the Samsung refer to? Are you trying to connect phone to router booster?
or are you trying to connect MacBook to Samsung hotspot via router?
you don't need a signal booster. Instead what you need is a WIFI signal repeater. This device basically captures your router's signal and repeat it to other devices. Basically place is somewhere between the router and your computer.
There are many out there but here's a cheap one on ebay
Depending upon where (in your home?) you use your Sony Vaio laptop (via WiFi?) you may need a WiFi booster or extender. Or, you may find that moving your WiFi router to another location in your home will improve your connection without diminishing the connections for other laptops used in your home.
Note: If the router needs to be moved in your home, you will probably need a technician for your Internet provider to come to your home to relocate it and connect it properly.
