Power Acoustik displaying phonebook in hex...

I have a Power Acoustik PTID-8940nrbt. My iPhone pairs with the system fine but my phonebook is showing up as hexadecimal (letter/number combo) instead of names. Unpaired and repaired the phone several times with no change. Any ideas as to why names not displaying?
