Ok
You have 2 screws on the side wall. 3 screws on the bottom of the mold. You will need to remove the back panel and unhook the wires and pull the sensor wire out from behind the icemaker. Sensor just sits in tube. Then go back in front and turn the icemaker towards the center. you will have to clean the alumalastic off. Where old cloths to do this.
I hope the helps you. Make sure the icemaker you have looks the same as the old one.

Ice make will not stop making ice

Ice Maker Doesn't Turn Off If your ice maker keeps making ice, even when it is full:
1Lift the bail wireto shut off the ice maker, and remove the ice bin. Then, using a screwdriver if necessary, remove the ice maker, clean it thoroughly, and then reinstall it.
2If the problem persists, consider removing and replace the entire ice maker and valve. With this type of problem, you can have it repaired, but it's often wiser and less expensive in the long run to replace the unit entirely.

Water does not flow

first you should take the water feed off, clear all water out of tube going to ice maker.remoe ice maker and check the wiring and all looks good.hook water up,turn water on just enough to see you have waterflow yo ice maker.might need a towel or two in the freezer.replace icemaker, make sure bar on ice maker is down, turn water on full, give it 12hrs to make ice. good water flow-no ice--replace ice maker.

How difficult is it to replace icemaker on ge TFH22PRSAA? side by side

very easy to replace, ice maker is held up by 3 or 4 screws. Only remove the bottom screw(s) completely. Loosen the top screws, then lift ice maker up and then out. All you need to do now is unplug.
Putting it back in is just as easy. just reverse instructions above. Be careful of the filler tube that comes in, you have to make sure it goes back thru the hole in the ice maker.

I have checked the valves, the inlet, the temperature, and there is no off switch that I can locate for my ice maker. The unit is only a few years old, I replaced the filter and yesterday I emptied the ice...

Try to remove the ice bucket and replace it. Make sure the ice maker is completely in the "Up" position. Make sure that the water line is not crimped. Remove and replace the filter again. I hope this helps and solves the problem. Please let us know if we helped you and have a great evening.

Need to replace Ice Maker in bottom freezer

Good day,
3 screws hold the ice maker in place. On some versions the 2 top screws are replaced with clips, but it is self explanatory.
The cover is a tight fit, but un clips from the bottom first. You re-install by snapping it in place with the palm of your hand.
The wire pulls straight out of the front of the ice maker and then you wiggle the rear off its mounting hole.
HOWEVER,
What you described is classic of a bad water valve. Especially the overflow issue. I would change the valve first, and if it still has issues then replace the ice maker.

Ice maker not making ice. do have water, no ice

The ice maker has a problem The ice maker is a separate appliance within the freezer section. Please see the How things Work section of our website to learn about the normal functioning of ice makers. Some common problems with ice makers are:

The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice
The ice maker is producing ice poorly
The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

The ice maker is producing ice poorly When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

Ice maker wont make ice

The first thing to check is the water inlet valve. If the water inlet valve is good you may need to repalce the ice maker assembly
