F25 indicates a possible drive motor tachometer error. (NOTE: The tech sheet is located behind the front quarter panel– remove the three hex head screws at the very bottom to remove the panel. The tech sheets will be folded up in a little plastic pouch.

The f25 error code is a motor tachometer error. To determine the problem you will have to remove the top cover and the front access panel. On some models, the rear panel will have to be taken off for easier access to the motor control. Now with the washer-unplugged remove the each plug one at a time and make sure the pins in the connector are not bent then reseat them on the board. Now retest the washer. If the washer still fails, you will need a meter to ohm the motor.

With the washer unplugged, locate the motor harness. Now unplug the motor connector to ohm the motor. Follow the list below to check the motor.

* Pin 1 to 3 6 ohms
* Pin 1 to2 6 ohms
* Pin 2 to 3 6 ohms
* Pin 4 to5 115 ohms

If the readings are close to what is listed above the motor is fine.

Live voltage checks are dangerous, and possibly deadly. Exercise caution at all times. If you are not comfortable working with live electricity I suggest you call an experienced service technician. I have provided you with a wire diagram with what the voltages should be. If the voltages are correct I would then recommend that you replace the motor control.

After moving washer to a new location, it wont run a normal cycle. It starts to fill up with water and then stops and then it starts flashing F-25, 26, or 28. What exactly does this mean and what can we do...

DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR

If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the machine shuts down.
If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after 3 Minutes.

Possible Causes/Procedure

1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the power cord are removed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check drive motor tachometer resistance. It should be approx. 115 ohms.
4. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU).
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.

Code f-25 washer will not stop working and display this. what do i do?

F25 is a Drive Motor Tachometer error. This means that your motor control board isn't detecting your motor moving correctly. If you open the door and spin the tub by hand and it's smooth, you need to order and replace the motor control board to correct th issue unfortunately.

Washer stops in mid cycle and flashes error code F 6

this is the code for " drive motor tachometer error ".  areas to check are the cable that connects the motor to the MCU (motor control unit ), the motor itself and the MCU itself.  any one of these could be bad.  technician might be your best and least expensive bet rather than replacing all 3 of above.

When starting any cycle, water fills, time counts down, but never washes or spins.....then, the letter ''F'' flashes along with the number ''25''

Hi,
Error F25 is a "DRIVE MOTOR TACHOMETER ERROR" If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the
machine shuts down.

This could be as simple as a loose wire connector inside the machine. Or it could be something serious. I would recommend calling a service tech. If I can help you in any way please let me know.
