Question about Toshiba (K000006570) Satellite P20 Series Fan Assembly
Thanks man that seems to have solved the problem. I Removed both sticks and reinserted 1 at a time looks like one stick is bad. I will go get two new memory sticks today and try them. So far it's working with a single 512 MB stick just fine. I tried the same stick in both slots and they both work. thanks again.

Had a similar problem with a Satellite P105. I flipped it over, took out one of the memory sticks (one screw to open the little memory door) and turned it on again and it worked. Then I took out the other one and put the first one in its place. Worked again. Then I moved that stick back into the first slot. And that's when I found that one memory slot was bad.
