Where is the drain pan drain hole on the bottom of the Fridgidaire FAC 127S1A air conditioner?

Our drain seems to be blocked with dirt or something as water is collecting in the drain pan instead of draining properly.

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know where the drain hole is on your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC127S1A. I see that the drain seems to be blocked, as water is collecting in the drain pan, instead of draining. The drain hole is located beneath the compressor. You might want to try tilting your air conditioner slightly to the outside, to allow better water drainage. Hope this is helpful.

SOURCE: Drain Hole for Frigidaire Window Air Conditioner

Leave it alone. DO NOT attempt to create a drain. As long as a window A/C unit is installed properly, (angled slightly down toward the rear) it will drain excess water over the rear lower lip of the unit should it get that high. Many models use some of the collected water/condensation. It gets lifted up by the fan blades to cool the coil.

SOURCE: The drain hole is in the window sill, not the back

I'm not sure why that drain hole is located where it is - but in any case - you're going to have to plug the existing hole and re-drill another drain hole at the back of the unit.

I would plug the unwanted hole with a 'liquid steel material,' i.e. JB Weld or something similar.

Note: be careful when re-drilling the new drain hole and don't drill a hole in your condenser.

good luck!

SOURCE: My FAC104 P1A window air conditioner does NOT

Some don't have a drain hole anymore. As long as you have it tilted slightly, any excess water will drain out. If your house or room feels good, it's working. It won't pull moisture out of the air if the air has already been dehumidified.

SOURCE: THE DRAIN HOLE FOR MY FRIDGIDAIRE AIR CONDITIONER

You will have to remove the unit fro the window, and take it outside and remove the cover, unless the sheel remains in the window, and use a water hose to clean all the debris out and clear the drain, this really needs to be done every year, also, make sure the tilt on the unit is enough for the water to drain outside, not in,if this was at all helpful, please rate thank you.

SOURCE: My frigidaire air conditioner is

The tray that holds the condensed water from the evaporator
may be clogged, it may be clogged before the cleanout hole,
where the tray joins the pvc, if this is the case you may have to
power down your ac unit, there is a panel on your heater unit
that you will have to access to expose the evaporator coils and
you will see the tray where the condensation builds up and flows
thru a pvc pipe to go outside. also make sure that the pipe going
outside is at a slope so that the condensation can flow and not
clog the pipe. make sure that water can flow from the tray thru
the cleanout hole. once you correct the problem. you need to reseal all the seams with duct tape or metalic tape, you can purchase at most hardware stores, to make sure their are no ac
cool air leaks other than thru your ac vents. good luck!

correct name here.

windows type.
FFRE12L3S10 Frigidaire Air Conditioner. most AC like this, the evaporator coil drips condensate to the bottom pad and is guided to the rear of the pan and leaks outside to the ground and is just hole in the pan, or has rubber nipppple(sic)
this last point can clog up; with dirt.

if drain means the the Refrigerant loop low or high side filling ports
there are none. in most cases. unless a huge commercial HVAC.

How do I clean the condensation drain on my Fridgidaire fac127s1a?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know how to clean the condensation drain on your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC127S1A. I see that the drain seems to be blocked, as water is collecting in the drain pan, and beginning to leak from the front. The drain hole is located beneath the compressor. You would have to get underneath that to clean the drain. You might want to try tilting your air conditioner slightly to the outside, to allow better water drainage. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

There is no drain hole on this unit..if there is i cant find it...then the condesation runs down my walls...what should i do to find the drain

Window units usually drain through a notch behind the condenser or a hole in the bottom. If the unit is leaking chances are that it is not properly leveled. The unit should slope slightly downwards towards the rear of the unit. Water in the condenser pan is normal- it's an efficiency thing. If the unit is properly leveled and still leaks into the room then there may be dirt clogging the evaporator pan- refer to a service manual on how to take the unit from the case and properly clean it.

Portable haier air conditioner drainage. Cannot find drain hole and unable to tilt ac. Water is building up in the bottom of unit.

Here is a thought, received by me from a AC mechanic recently. Window ACs no longer actually drain concensate. Rather, the water is caught in a pan with the idea it will evaporate back into the outside air. The reason for this is the dripping water frequently resulted in the growth of algae below the unit resulting is unsightly stains and sometimes, slippery conditions. Evidently, there were a lot of complaints about being 'dripped on' also. So, AC manufacturers don't put drain holes in the bottom any more. If the pan over fills, it will spill out of many makes. If you want yours to drain, put a hole in the bottom.

Like I said, just a thought.

The air conditioner does not seem to be draining properly. Theere is so much water in the case that it is overflowing the bottom of the case outside the window. Is there a way that I can allow the air...

There are tow thing that cause the problem you're experiencing.

The rear of the unit is not tilted down at least a minimum of 1/4" to 1/2". This allow the water in the drip pan to flow to the drain hole near the rear of the pan.

Speaking of a drain hole. It may be clogged. Finding it under the rear of the unit can be a n. As the clog often times blends in with the pan. Be patiently persistent when looking for it. It can be cleared with a pipe cleaner.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Yes, we have a fridgidaire FAC127S1A Model and we installed it today and are having trouble with it leaking water once it runs for a while. (The hole on the under side of the A/C.) Is this normal or is it...

If the water is leaking to the outside, that is normal. Especially if, the humidity is high outside.

If it's leaking to the inside. No, that's not normal and is due to improper installation. The rear of the unit should tilt down about 1/4" , to allow the water to drain outside via the drain pan hole.

To help you further, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your FAC127S1A model air conditioner. You can download and print it for future reference.

How do istop the tcl portable air con leaking water

As you probably know, Air conditioners condense the moisture out of the occupied space, as the room air passes over the colder coils.
That water has to drain away into a drain, or a bucket -- or something!

So-- How is the water designed to drain away?
and what is interfering with that path?

There are the obvious causes, like mold, or a bug, or dirt, etc-- blocking the drain hole-
Or possibly sediment filing the condensate line trap--
Are you sure these are all clear, and open?

But one that is often overlooked, is the fact that a fan might be creating a slight vacuum in the area where the drain line exits the rain pan--- and the water can actually be prevented from draining, until the fan shuts off (removing the slight vacuum)-- is that possible in this machine?

Or when you open up the machine, is the drain pan still filled to over flowing?
Can you use a mini Toilet plunger on the drain, to help unblock it?

Give me some more clues, and I'll try to help you trouble shoot deeper into the problem.
