Could be the capacitor is the fan running outside when unit trys to run? Could be: capacitor, no power, low on freon, burnt wire to capacitor, compressor over heated, windings grounded out in the compressor.

A/c dosen't always come on the it blows hot air. worked on the way to work would not work on the way home

Check the AC line if it is gets cold when AC is on, if it doesnt that may mean there is a problem with the compressor or out of gas due to leakage. Also check if there is an electrical connection problem.

Good luck, summer with no AC really becomes annoying.

What causes a compressor to go bad?

Compressor in your car? refrigerator? home air conditioner? Generally compressors die due to insuffecient lubrication. Automotive compressors die due to the fact that the oil in the system is flowing around in the system with the refrigerant. As the refregerant leaks out the oil leaks out with it. re charging the refregerant starts the cycle over again and if oil is not added the end result will be destruction eventually. Also the automotive compressor workes in the hottest of enviroments is usually not used for half of the year (seals dry out ect) and is subjected to intense vibration which dosen't help. Home compressors usually last almost forever and refrigerator compressors most of the time outlive the box they cool since the are in use all the time.

H2 wont take r134a

the system may have had such a bad leak that your compressor won't engage to pull the coolant into the system you'll have to evacuate the system to see if it hold a vac. of 28.5 lbs. if it dosen't you have a leak if it does the r-134 will be pulled into the system and the compressor should engage

Operating tempture normal but car dosen't seem to make adequate heat. also a/c compressor runs on positions except air on floor.

See if you got a heater control valve..Its located in the heater hoses..If it dont have that,,then check see if the hoses are hot going to the heater core..If ones hot but the other isnt,,or warm only then you may have a clogged heater core

Chevy 2004 blazer ac stoped working abruptly and stops the engine if you turn on the ac could you just replace the clutch if that is what is defective? instead of the whole compressor and all the other...

I mworking on my blazer AC unit now . You have a problem with the compressor clutch or the compresser Its likely the clutch its supposed to cycle about 8 times per minute . So it goes on then off 8 times per munite this is normal . However if the clutch dosen't spin then the belt will drag on the clutch pulley this will stall the engine until the belt wares out but this will damage every part that the belt rides on . The water pump the alternator powersteering pump and belt tenisinor not to mention the belt .It sounds like your clutch is seized try not to run it until you can figure out why the clutch isn't spining

Air conditioning compressor shut off, low refrigerant, fully charged.

Unless you are state certified to work on a/c stop what you are doing and take the ride to a certified a/c person. You are in violation of EPA and a dosen state and federal laws by doing anything on a/c.

Not cool even set the temperature to maximum cold, here the circulation fan running but not the compressor runing (I guess).

Sounds like the compressor has failed,But there may be a chance that the relay overload assembly may be faulty check same and replace and if compressor dosen,t start probably faulty compressor.Hope this helps Kind Regards.
