UNIT OF MEASURE OPTIONS The YARDAGE PRO TOUR can be used to measure distances in yards or meters. The unit of measure indicators are located in the upper right portion of the LCD. To select between yards and meters, look through the monocular, depress the "mode" button (left side of the unit underneath the BUSHNELL YARDAGE PRO logo) and hold it down for approximately 2 seconds. read the user manual to find the mode button and select distance or yards and change to meters
no manual , download one from the web site for the manufacturer

There are two different sub-models of the CRF 1200. The 527 reads in meters while the 523 reads in yards. This is not something that can be changed by the user.
