Question about Zoom X6 (5590) DSL Modem (55900003)

I Have zoom adsl x6 and it disconnects after a couple of minutes.

I have a desktop and a wireless laptop connection but I lose connection after a few minutes on Browser.

You got to check for some kind of interference in your area.
Maybe a cordless phone, etc...
You can try changing the channel your wireless router is using.
To do that, you must log in into the Main Menu inside the wireless router itself.
For instructions, look in the manual.

Not recognized by cable modem


Turn everything off for 2 minutes, cable modem, router and pc.

Turn on modem and wait 2 minutes for the modem to sync to TW.
Turn on router after 2 mins and wait until the router syncs with the modem.
Turn on PC
It sounds like your router lost its connection to the cable modem, which happens from time to time. TW will not help with your router. I worked for a cable co and the router and modem losing sync was the at least 70% of the calls. FYI cable doesn't use DSL,just the phone co.

ya there is filter oing inbound also check port forwarding in router and check firewall to.
Default ip for access belkin router is http://192.168.15.1

I have a Zoom X6 ADSL modem that keeps dropping my internet signal. How can I correct this?


is it wireless connection or ethernet? Zoom routers have a firewall and when you have something connected that the firewall doesnt like (Xbox 360 or Gaming) it will drop the connection. goto zoom.com/x6 and it will give you instruction on how to by-pass the firewall using an different IP address.

Zoom x6 modem disconnect


If you only get disconnected on the desktop, the problem is the desktop.

You can try removing network card from device manager and installing it back, try also logging in with a different user name and disabling eventual firewalls.

Fastest way to get rid of problems of this kind is by reinstalling windows, and if it does not work getting a replacement network card, or connecting the PC wireless.

If you have a spare wireless LAN Usb adapter, try connecting the PC on wireless.

Zoom aDSL modem/wireless router seen but not connecting


Here are a couple of ideas to look at first, assuming you haven't tried them already:

1) Does moving the router help? Sometimes a new DECT phone or a microwave, or even a piece of equipment at a neighbour's house, can interfere with the signal.

2) Does changing the channel on your router help at all? If there are many other networks using the same channel, this might block your own signal.
3) If this does not make any difference, it might be worth checking your security settings.

Zoom X6 installation


you need a ethernet network card, if you want it connected to the x6 directly, or you can get a wireless card for the desktop.
the instruction for setup the x6 is straight forward. but you need to follow it to the letter, otherwise it won't work.

The wireless is disabled either on your laptop or on modem. Here is quick guide of your modem that may help if it does not please let me know where is the problem and tell me what laptop do you have.

By default the ip address should be set to 10.0.0.2.
user name admin--lower case
password admin--lower case

and go to wire less settings and change the channels there>and save it>and reboot it>and rate me solvedif its helps thx
