Toyota Yaris auto stall after prolonged idle period - throttle body cleaned / air mass meter replaced / no codes. Any clues

When idling for long periods of time the spark plugs can get fouled, Soon as you step on the gas the engine will usually spit and sputter then go or just stall. Avoid prolonged idling, if you must do it periodically give it some gas (pump the pedal a few times) to clear the plugs and keep them from fouling.

Do you have to wear goggles when you swim if you want to protect your eyes from damage?

Wearing goggles when you swim is a personal choice. Some people can swim under water with their eyes open and it doesn't bother them, others get really sore from the chemicals in the water. It's probably kinder to your eyes to use goggles when you are swimming in the sea or in a pool and it definitely helps kids to feel comfortable in the water.

My check engine light came on and the motor seems to be shaking? I drive about 30min to work and about 30min home, so I'm not sure if I will have time to take it in before I go to work? What seems to...

It is most likely a misfire, especially if the engine light starts flashing. Most misfires are due to the secondary ignition system wearing out (spark plugs and wires). I would replace the spark plug wires first as they are the more common cause, but it's a good idea to replace the plugs too.
**Note - if the engine light is flashing, it indicates catalyst damage at that time. Driving a vehicle for prolonged periods with the engine misfiring will result in catalytic converter damage.

Acer aspire one battery not charging to 100% despite prolonged periods of charging

You have one or more dead cells. What happens is after a long period of time, electrical "fingers" grow across the plates of the cells, caused by the chemical reactions within the cells, and short circuit each cell in time. Putting a high current for a very short period of time through the battery, can reform the dead cells, but not usually for long.
Fit a new battery.

What exactly is transmission slippage? I am not

You got it right. It usually happens over time as your mileage goes up. The clutch's in your trans wear and start to slip. Low trans fluid will speed up the process, so will long periods of spinning when stuck.
To prolong the life of those clutch's you should periodically change the trans fluid and filter. It will tell you in your owner's manual when you should do it and considering the price of a transmission overhaul it's a good idea. The same holds true for your timing belt.
Hope this helps.

Is it safe to turn the volume up all the way without risking damage to the speakers for prolonged periods of time?

no - the resistance in the tiny voicecoil will heat up rapidly, and blow.
3/4 gain is the approximate "safe zone" for any speaker at "full volume"

How to Protect myself?

When running a die grinder, it is important to follow some simple safety rules. Never wear loose jewelry while operating the grinder. Neck chains can easily become caught in the die grinder and cause strangulation. Safety goggles should also be worn at all times.
