Question about Sharp Televison & Video
in the manual it tell you what to do if the set does not power up. I quote "Press SYSTEM RESET if the TV does not operate after starting up." Also, under troubleshooting, it states that an increase in the internal temperature will cause a power problem.
If the power cable is the type that you can remove from the TV, and check it's plugged in to your TV securely.
There'll be a fuse in the plug, so check that's not blown by replacing it with one of the SAME type (e.g. 3A for 3A, 5A for 5A).
Don't assume your mains socket is working. Boith test it with another appliance, and plug your TV into another socket that you know is working.
Your next step is to talk to the shop you bought it from, or seek out a way to contact Sharp. I would like you to unplug the TV for one hour or more is you have not already. This power reset will at times correct the problem
Thanks for contacting Fixya
