Question about Breadman TR850 Plus Bread Maker
This was bought on ebay and got a crack in the lid during shipping. The plastic part of the lid is almost broken in half. Is there any way to get a replacement lid?
I just received a Breadman Tr600 purchased on ebay & the plastic lid is cracked & a piece came off. I'm in the process of filing a claim w/ DHL. I had this same bread machine for 10 years until it completely went out so I purchased a different brand & it didn't perform & I returned it.
I will not give up this ebay breadmaker, cracked lid or not. I'm thinking I'll use car high heat gasket seal that comes in a tube & resembles silicone to patch the lid. I'll put a thin layer, let it cure & repeat until it's built up to the same thickness as the missing plastic. It won't look great, but that isn't a big deal. First I'm going to see if the crack/missing piece affects my bread results.
I found out about the gasket seal by accident - I was having a huge crowd for Thanksgiving 2 years ago & my oven seal disintegrated 2 days before & I couldn't find a replacement locally & online couldn't get it delivered in time, plus they are $75. I bought a tube & ran a bead where the gasket should be & let it dry (well ventilated) & it held it's shape & worked great!. I bought a replacement seal, but am not going to use it until the auto gasket seal gives out.

I would try www.esalton.com They are the manufacturers and you should be able to call their customer service number for parts. Good Luck!
