My monitor doesnt come on i have model x163 what driver do i need

You don't need a driver for a monitor. It displays the signal that the Video Card sends to it. Check the power cable and monitor video cable at the monitor and at the computer. Disconnect these cables and then reconnect them and tighten the thumbscrews to secure the connection. If you have an onboard video card, you may have a problem with your motherboard, RAM, Processor, Harddrive or Video Card that is preventing the computer from turning on. If you use a PCI, PCI-Express, AGP, etc. video card, check to make sure is it securely seated in it's slot. Also check the power cables going to the video card (if any) and the monitor cable connected to the video card. Else you may have a failed video card, or a problem with your motherboard, RAM, Processor, Harddrive or Video Card that is preventing the computer from turning on.

Why wont myhp lcd monitor come on after checking the memory sticks i will turn on then display no vga input

If your monitor is showing no vga input, here are a few things to check.

1. Verify that you are using a vga cable. HERE
2. Make sure the connections are tight on both the monitor and your video card.
3. Verify that your video card is securely inserted into your motherboard.

4. If you have both onboard vga and a vga video card, try switching the cord to the other.

I hope this helps. Any feed back you can give me about what happens when you try these, i will look over and try and help some more.

My fan is running but it won't load windows. The monitor says power saving mode

Check the NUM LOCK led status when power on the computer if it is on and off when you press num lock key that means your cpu is working fine only issue with screen resolution for that when you power up th computer press F8 key 5 to 6 times then you can see safe mode and other menu.Enter in "enable vga mode " then go to display settings change scree resolution to 1024*768 then check. but if num lock led stay constant then open cpu cabinet cover reconnect RAM memory.Pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes then put it back. Reconnect pci or vga card if any. Reconnect processor and it's fan. Make sure motherboard is not ground with cabinet. Also make sure harddrive is recognized in bios if you are able to see bios. For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or del or ALT+F2 key to enter in bios then check. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using Fixya.

Problems with E-Machines eMachines Monitor, screen is white computure, does not come up.

First check num lock led status on key board when you power up the computer if it is on and off when you press num lock key then your cpu working fine but if it is constant then you need to open cpu cabient reattch the RAM memory pull cmos cell from motherboard for 10 minutes.Reattch the processor and its fan.
make sure motherboard is not gorund with cabinet. If you have vga card then reattach into its slot.
But if num lock led is on and off then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode then go to control panel->display property ->settings then change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

My viewsonic Va712b monitor does not allow higher resolution than 800x600 resolution

ok, you need to know and to do
1) your monitor can be up to 1280X1050 resolution and automatch to destop one,
2) you need clean Rams first(reinstall Rams to make connection well)
3) the windows xp sp3 it can not support onboard VGA higher resolution without original motherboard video driver,
3) in this case your destop maybe lost the original driver so you need check the onboard video driver at hardware managment, there is a yellow mark at video device.then find a matched driver to update. still unfixed means your onboard video chips has some problem.and then
4) you may insert a AGPvideo card to AGP slot and install its driver should be fixed well.
hope to help you fixed it ,any question feedback to me please

Monitor turn dark frequently

it sounds like your PC trouble, you may try (it is better to make sure the monitor connect other PC ok)
1) check PC ram, change ram sticks position if there are two ram stick, or change a new ram if only one ram inside. not fix go next
2) check VGA cable connection, reseat the cable. still not fix go next
3) if you use AGP VGA card change VGA cable to onboard VGA interface (setup bios VGA to onboard),
is this helpful to you olease feedback thanks.

Monitor internal card

Try a different PCI slot unless it is a specific AGP board or specific video slot on the motherboard, maybe the slots blown.

You can try reseting the video ram incase the drivers have become corrupt, you would need to research how to do that on the net as its different per machine which keys to hold down on restart.

Failing this try a different video card !

Princeton VL1715 startup problem

Have you disabled your onboard video in the BIOS? Boot your machine with the vga cord to the motherboard. You need to get into the BIOS. Depending on the make of your machine you need you will need to hit the del key, f2, or even f1. Go to the periphrial setup and disable your onboard video. Save the BIOS turnoff the computer and plug the monitor into you vga card. That should do it. To change it back to your motherboards vga just reverse the instructions. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
