My delta 31-250 sander dc drive motor will not run. The machine has only been used for 26 hours total. the dc motor quit during the sanding of a 12" board after the third pass.

I thought my motor was bad and ordered a new one since it was 3 years old. The old motor is good since the new one didn't work either. I traced it down to the rheostat, ref # 150 on your parts list. The toolsdirect website didn't list part 150 on all model parts lists. What I need is part no 911609 DC SPEED CONTROLLER. Yours may be bad too. It costs about $50. I have a 31-255X type 2. The DC drive motor (1/50 HP) quit after 3 years of use. The main 115v AC motor is fine. I ordered a new DC drive motor and when I plugged it into the cable socket, I got no power. I looks like the circuit board is at fault. I checked it and there are no loose connections.This machine works fine and I have used mine every other day for 3 years. How did you resolve your problem?
