Its because the open door is stuck in the reef of the sideways of the wii.... you just have to use a spoon or somthing flat to get the game back and to eject the door...

An eror has occurred. press eject button remove game disk and turn off the power to the console

That sounds like you are playing Mario Kart online, the solution for that is to replace your Mario Kart Disc with a new one. Go to your message/logs and delete everything.

Please don't forget to rate my solution, thanks.

Second remote will not recognize the wii mario kart. Second remote will work with all other wii games, except for Mario Kart.

Had the same problem last night.... Turn off the wii system by unplugging , wait a couple of seconds and plug back in. Next, the front of the wii has a pocket that opens, there is a red button. Put the disc to mario kart in the wii once you see the federal regs push and hold the red button on the wii for 15 seconds then once this 15 seconds is up with the controllers battery case open push the red button to the original controller. All of lights will flash and then stop. Push the red button on the wii console again just once. Then push the red button on the second remote wait till all lights stop flashing push the red button on the console and now they should be married to the wii system. Hope this helps----do you know how to get the volume? We don't have any volume

Mario Kart no start up

if you have upgraded your software on your wii, your freeloader won't work anymore. Mario carts is written in a way to stop people using programs such as freeloader. Its something called signed trucha, other people will not more. You could try buying a UK mario cart on ebay and trying that. Otherwise, looking into getting it mod chipped to overcome the region barriers. But always buy original games for it

Second controller doesn't recognize accelerate, reverse works

Try resynchornizing it to your Wii again. If this doesnt not work, you may have a defective Wii Remote. You should consider replacing if synchronizing it does not work.

Mario cart will not recognize my second remote.

Another possibility is that the original poster did not push the "+" button on the main remote when on the screen in Mario Kart to register additional remotes.

This happened to me. I was holding down the 1 and 2 buttons over and over on the second remote, watching the blue lights flash, but the remote wouldn't register. Eventually someone noticed the instructions on the screen to push the "+" button. When you push the "+" button, another screen appears to let you really register additional remotes.

In Wii Sports, there is no pushing of the "+" button to register new remotes... I had incorrectly assumed it worked the same way in Mario Kart and didn't bother reading the on-screen instructions.
