Fill a glass with water and place the eggs in one at a time.
If the egg sinks it is good. If it floats off the bottom, it is an old egg which may be bad.
The older an egg gets, the larger the air sac inside the egg gets. The larger the air sac gets the easier the egg is too float.

As a retired policeman, I can say I've never heard of this. Sounds like urban legend, there's so many ways they can get you to stop without wasting an egg or counting on their throwing arm to actually hit you. I've seen eggs on cars for vandalism or an attempt to damage the paint. When in doubt roll the window down and keep driving, call 911 and tell them. If an unmarked police car tries to pull you over tell them through a closed window that you'll drive to the nearest place with lots of people, a Wal-Mart, police, fire or even a gas station.

Eggs are usually good for three to four weeks after the expiration date. To test, put them in water. Good eggs will drop to the bottom, rotton eggs will float to the top.

Depends. A five gas analyser can tell the amount of NOX, CO, CO2 which will let you know based on what the values are. You can do a visual test at night if the car is running. Just look underneath. If it is glowing hot it is plugged. If you smell rotten eggs coming from the exhaust it is a good sign its bad. You can beat on it with your hand and if you hear debri inside being moved by the beating it needs replaced. A dianostic like a cheap scanner will tell you your downstream O2 sensor or bank 1 sensor 2 or bank 2 sensor 2 has a fault code but that isn't exactly going to tell you the Cat is bad. If your scanner has the ability to give you data you can see if the value is high or low depending on what the vehicle is supposed to read. If your upstream sensor 1 is reading good and your down stream sensor is reading bad there is most likely a hole between them. The sure sign of a bad Cat is lose of power, the smell of rotten eggs, its glowing under the car from heat caused by blockage, your O2 sensors are acting up or throwing codes, you can hear a leak coming from it or see one. Some Cats don't stink when they go bad because of the type of catalyst used inside. So if you know what your doing you can use a dianostic test to detect a bad catalytic converter.

When the chick walks away! :) My father used to throw out many he seems to know. I never worry about it i survived without a fridge for a year. I left my eggs out in warm summer heat in my place for a week and had no issues. Others i've left in the fridge for 6 months and ate anyways, no issues. If an egg smells like sulphur then it has gone bad. Some people just want the best of the best and leave the rest to the poor. If that is the case then an egg is no longer freshest when the moisture content starts to drop and the yolk breaks upon cracking and falling into the pan. I eat my eggs scrambled so i don't care if it spills out.

I would check the condition of the cat converter as it sounds like it is breaking up and blocking the exhaust pipe. The smell is hydrogen sulphide (rotten egg gas) and is the by- product of the cat converter action

Ignore the instruction manual. Instead look at the measuring cup that comes with your Hyundai PLU 247959 (produced and sold under license by Poundstretcher).
On the side of the measuring cup, you can see three clusters of marks:1. 25 to 40 ml for soft-boiled eggs (symbol of egg with two horizontal lines)2. 45 to 60 ml for medium boiled eggs (symbol of egg with one horizontal line)3. 65 to 80 ml for hard boiled eggs (symbol of egg)
Egg boilers are based on the principle that the larger the volume to be heated is, the less water is required. In other words, you will need to add less water for boiling seven eggs, and more water for boiling one or two eggs.
Which means that for seven eggs to soft boil, add 25 ml; and for one egg to soft boil, add 40 ml. If you look at the markings, you'll notice that on the vertical line between 40 and 25 ml, there are seven equidistant horizontal lines, each showing the amount of water required for the various quantities of eggs.

Medium boiled and hard boiled eggs are measured in similar ways. Works every time for me. Nice little egg boiler, by the way.

What does it smell like? If it smells like rotten eggs that is a tell-tale sign that your catalytic convertor is bad.
