My samsung galaxy got strange download thing going on in top right hand side?

My gallery was full and it said i need to delete some before use, it would not let me even let me access pictures on gallery to delete, i plugged my note into the computer and was having trouble been recognized, i was`nt sure if it was my usb cable , since then i have had a funny little down load thing going on in top right hand corner of my note, it is working fine no different apart from the annoying thing what constantly flashes!!! the only way i can describe it as not very good with these modern gadgets and very self taught. I have turned my note off and powered back on but it is still there! i bought a new cable plugged back to computer managed to download pictures off and delete some to free up memory but the silly little constant download thing is still on my note, i would be most grateful for any help as at a lost of what to do apart from having to reset it back to factory setting???

SOURCE: I bought my Samsung Galaxy

It sounds to me like you have an issue with your Galaxy Tab's charging port.

Fortunately it is still under warranty if you've just recently purchased it.

Take it back to the store or contact Samsung for a warranty replacement. They may be able to help you recover items from the memory.

Hope this helped!

Thanks!

SOURCE: Can I reset factory settings on Samsung Galaxy tablet

This hard reset can be done even if the device won't seem to power on.

  1. Make sure that it is OFF.
  2. Press the Volume Up and Power button simultaneously and hold them for few seconds.
  3. When you see the logo appear, release the Power button (but keep holding the Volume Up button).
  4. Next you'll see a menu where you can use the Volume Up & Volume Down buttons to navigate across. Check the option labeled as Wipe Data / Factory Reset using the Power button.

How do I delete photos in the gallery on Samsung Galaxy tab 4?

To delete a single image, summon the image on the screen and touch the Trash icon that appears in the upper-right corner. Choose the Confirm Delete command. The image is gone.
Deleting a video isn't as easy as removing an image: You have to long-press the video thumbnail in an album. The long-press activates multiple-selection mode. For removing a video, however, just touch the Trash icon that appears in the upper-right corner of the screen. Choose the Confirm Delete command, and the video is gone.
You can't undelete an image or a video you've deleted. There's no way to recover such an image using available tools on the Galaxy Tab.
You can apply the Delete command to an entire swath of items in the gallery at once. To do so, you must know the secret, found below:
  1. Open the album (pile) you want to mess with.
  2. Long-press an image to select it. Instantly, you activate image-selection mode.

  1. Continue touching images and videos to select them.Or you can choose the Select All command.
  2. Perform an action on the group of images or videos.
To deselect items, touch them again. To deselect everything, touch the Done command.
The type of commands you can use on a group of items in an album depends on the group. Some commands, such as Delete and Share, can be performed on any old group. Other commands, such as the image rotation commands, work only with pictures, not with videos.

How to delete or remove all photos stored in samsung galaxy tablet 3 gallery?

Although I do not have a Galaxy Tablet 3, I own a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and I believe both might use the same technique.

There are two ways to erase the photos from the gallery. I generally use the first one, using a computer although you may prefer the second one that works directly in the tablet.

In general, when you connect an Android device that has a camera to a computer, it will display in the Windows Explorer an Icon with the name of the device, if Windows has the right drivers for your device installed. At the same time, an icon of a USB connection will be shown in the device's screen top bar.

If you click on your device's icon at the computer, you may find one or two folders (in general, "Card" and "Phone" in cell phones" and "Card" and "Tablet" for tablets). The "Card" folder appears if you have an SD card inserted in your device. Depending on where you set up your tablet to store the photos, inside those two folder you will find another folder called DCIM (that stands for Digital Camera IMages). Check on both to locate where your photos are. Then, select the ones you want to erase or select them all pressing CTRL + A and then press DELETE on your keyboard.

The other way is acting on your tablet. Touch the GALLERY icon to open the Gallery app. If you have more than one folder in your gallery, touch on the folder you want to erase the photos, to select it. If you have only your Camera folder, touch and keep you finger touching any of the photos for around two seconds. The photo will be selected with a green mark and a rectangle will appear at the top, close to the Gallery icon, indicating "1 selected". Touch this rectangle and the option to either "Select all" or "Unselect all" will appear. Selecting all photos will turn them all marked. Then, touch the "Trash can" (delete) icon and you will be asked if you want to delete all pictures. Touch OK and they are all gone! See images 1 and 2 attached to this note.

Hope you may find this information helpful!

Samsung p1000 hang for long time

sounds like it could do with a full reset.
http://www.hard-reset.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-gt-p1000-hard-reset.html

if that fails then go to the play store and download the samsung kies app. then also install the samsung kies program onto your laptop or computer. link the p1000 to the computer and see if there is an available update for the software.
samsung have said they did release one, the device when it came out was running on the FROYO software, and im sure they have a update to the jellybean but thats as far as they are going with this device
