Question about Jenn-Air Kitchen Ranges

Jenn-Air #SVE-47600. The control panel

Jenn-Air #SVE-47600. The control panel lights/digits don't work? Could this be the actual panel itself or something else? No info on panel at all, completly blank.

That didn't work. Also, there is not a "start" button. Only "off" and bake/broil/clean. I do get the audible sound when I press the buttons but no digital readout, completely blank like it's not connected.

Should I disassemble and check to be sure the digital panel is connnected, wires loose? (yes, I'll cut the power off before I start that proceedure). Is there an internal fuse on the panel?

I know I can buy a replacement panel, but also a "relay" panel. Both are pricey so if nothing else works is there a way to determine which one might be defective?

    Thanks,

    Don

Turn off the breaker and wait for 5 minutes. the follow this 3 steps:
--> After turn the breaker back on, go to the range and press "OFF", "OFF", "START", then click on the "clock set", there is a message on the display saying that do you want to delete the error, at this time press on the "START" again. And wait for a while until the everything on the screen disappear except the clock time. Hope this will fix yours.

thank u

Jenn-Air JJW8530 LCD panel does not light up

BrianGem posted a great solution back in May of '08, I just completed that fix on my own Jenn air, took me about 30 minutes once I got the correct capacitor.
The display board apparently has a weak spot in the
design, most likely heat related, (probably low priced components from offshore sources)
Fix: Replace heat damaged capacitor labeled C3 on display board, Hard part will be obtaining the 35Volt 68uF capacitor, I'm lucky enough to have a Brother in the electronics design field who found me a couple of high reliability caps designed for hot applications, He does not recommend changing sizes without design review for fear of overloading another component, however several other posts have indicated that a 35V 100mF cap has worked fine for them.

TURN OFF POWER TO OVEN PRIOR TO STARTING ANY REPAIRS.
My control panel was attached to the oven with 4 screws accessed from above the top oven door, the panel slid up about 1/2 " and lifted off, Unplug the ribbon cables and the panel can be removed to a convenient work surface. The display board itself is mounted with 4 screws and connected with a wide flat ribbon cable, the suspect capacitor is surface mounted to the reverse side of the board, two plastic clips need to be released (gently) and the ribbon cable unplugged. Capacitor is likely discolored or leaking, Using as small a soldering iron as you can find De-solder it and replace with new, match polarity marks and don’t use any more solder than needed.
If you run into trouble drop me an e-mail to dltatsjc@aol.com and I’ll try to help.
Good luck.
Thanks for this site..

Probably relay control. I have similar problem.

I am getting a NON Jenn Air. Repair record not so good.

Model SVE 47600 - oven door remains locked after self cleaning

Called an appliance repair serviceman....after checking it out...turned out to be a sensor that actually burned up (first time using cleaning feature!!). The oven got so hot it actually burned the wiring going to this sensor. Pretty scary! The repairman said he doesn't trust the self cleaning feature...recommended doing it the old fashion way! He's had to repair many ovens due to the lock remaining locked. IF you do use the feature, he said to absolutely remove the racks first because they will slowly warp and you'll end up replacing them due to uneven cooking (i.e. lopsided cakes). It cost me nearly $200.00 to clean my oven! Could have had my entire house cleaned for that amount!!

Jenn-Air model# Sve 47600. No display.

Before you replace the clock try cutting the power to the stove for 10 minutes. This will reset the clock and it will sometimes start working again.

Jenn-air jes9800AAB keeps buzzzing, front function panel flashes on and off

Your control panel is getting ready to quit. Mine did the same thing, I ignored it and now nothing on the touch panel works. About $150.00 for the part.

The grease drain line is clogged on my Jenn Air Range/Oven somewhere between the grease storage bin and the bottom of the grill area in the area that is not visible. Is it possible to clean this?

Both grease drain lines on my Jenn Aire SVE 47600 are blocked - I have tried liquid plumber, but it hasn't cleared things up. Has anyone had this problem and figured out a solution?
