Blue screen dump error when print to winfax

Whenever I print to winfax, my pc crashes. it goes to the blue screen and gives me an error of a driver. i run windows xp. started off not working out of picture viewer, then outlook, then corel, then everywhere. always worked for years just fine. I've looked all over the internet and can't find this driver to re-download or a solution to this problem... Thanks, Tiffany

I get the memory dump error even after i formatted my pc. My pc is running on windows vista and have core2duo processor with 1gb of ram. But i figured out that after i removed norton from my notebook, it worked out fine and problem solved. I had the same problem with NOD32 also. So try removing the current anti virus software and try another light one.

:)

I have a Logitech Quickcam Orbit AF which causes my computer to crash whenever I try to use video. My os is windows 7 ultimate. Any ideas? DHA

It is most likely the driver for your camera. Check the Logitech website for the most up-to-date drivers and install them.

The crash screen, otherwise known as the "Blue Screen Of Death" or BSOD, is usually caused by an error on the driver level. This can happen when code in the driver for the device conflicts with something in Windows or your computer hardware, and the system shuts down to prevent damage. The BSOD gives information about what conflict occurs, and creates a "dump" file with more detailed information.

There is a freeware utility you can download here that will analyze the dump and give you more information about what caused it.

Checking Event Viewer should give you more details. Right click My Computer > Manage > Event Viewer. Check Application and System by Source. You can filter by warnings and errors in View Or try another burning software. CDBurner XP is free.

When I start my computer a blue screen pops up then it crashes. It has text on it but I don't get a chance to read it.

download Microsoft Debugging tool here
just select the version of your computer (OS and if it is 32bit or 64)

install it.

then check this link on how to use the windows debugging tool

-------------------

Every time that there is a blue screen error or a stop error, windows generates a dump file that has the details about the crash error. the dump file is located in this folder
C:\windows\minidump

you have to run the debugger, click on file, select ran deugger for crash error then after that browse to that folder and lod the minidump file.

in order for you to fully understand how to user the windows debugger, you have to read the link that i posted above.

the result of debugging will give you a detailed analysis on the problem, it could be driver issue, or the device or the OS itself

Screen is completely black now. When I try to boot up sometimes it will but then a blue screen with lines on it comes up then it goes blank and can't get it back

Blue screen errors are mostly associated with RAM problem or software issues. You can try reseating the RAM or it might need to be replaced.
