On most models like yours you will find an Adaptive Defrost Control inside the fresh food compartment behind the control panel. You can also find the part at the top right side of this web page . Click on it, that will take you to the part. By entering model and part numbers in the search feature you can find parts for your refrigerator and help. If you should need anything please let me know, Sea Breeze

Hi, I have an LG refrigerator, the top freezer works fine but the fridge section has stopped cooling, I turned the unit off and next morning there was a large puddle of water on the floor, when I turned it...

When the fridge is not cooling that means the fan are not working or not working properly, need to replace or check if their is an ice bothering the fan to turn. ok

Whirlpool, water puddles on top shelf of fridge

If it is not from a plugged or misaligned defrost drain tube, then it is always from air leaking into your refer section. Check you door gasket to see if it is sealing correctly all around your door. Make sure your door is shutting tightly every time. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists.

Ed27dsxdw01 side by side fridge

I had this "problem" for a little while. Thought I was gonna trash the fridge and start over anew. Turned out I had a bag of greens sitting up along the top left side of the fridge that was blocking the vent where the air from the freezer side blows in to cool the fridge side. Clear off the top left side of your shelf to start with (would be good if they included this "tip" in the owner's manual).
