Question about CyberPower (CP685AVR) UPS System

CP685AVR/BF685 Power Contro.

Hi, My unit is 4.5 years old. Worked Okay until yesterday. Electric power connected, and USB cable reconnected, unit is dead. Red circuit breaker button is pushed in: Never was activated or pushed out. Press the "ON" button,the light sometimes instaneously flashes, goes out,-----and nothing. The computer screen icons are all grey; power source is unknown; the message reads unit is not connected to computer. The unit shows no sign of life.I believe unit is DEAD. YES, or NO ? Does unit just need new battery? Or, are internal controls malfunctioning.

    To Mike2304: Thanks for possible solution. Battery was checked and registered only 4.5 volts. New battery ordered: hopefully when installed, UPS will again operate. Now on "Hold" until ?

It is likely the battery. These batteries are designed to last 3-6 years in a UPS. The good news is that if it is the battery, it is completely user replaceable and you'll have a Cyber Power unit that works just like new with a new battery. What may have happened is that the battery was weak, and you may have had a slight dip in the AC power. This caused the Cyberpower unit to switch over to the weak battery which couldn't handle the load. The unit then turned off. When you press the "ON" button, the unit will go through a self-test that checks all of the components and the unit will not turn on and be functional unless all of the components come back with a PASS, including the battery. If possible, test the battery with a voltmeter, it should read around 13.5, but not lower than 11.5v DC. However, with the unit over 3 years old, it almost certainly the battery. E indicates an Error condition.

1.Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.

NOTE:The USB cable connects to the port on the rear of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon ( ). If your printer has a network or wireless connection, ignore this step.

two things to try
  1. try using another usb port ( preferably one on the back of the pc)
  2. switch out usb cable with another

HP Photosmart C6280 printer won't print and displays Ink System Failure message and Error #0xc18a0001.

Kenmore elite top loader washer won't start. Power is ok at the outlet Unit is 9 years old, model #110-20096993. Unit worked yesterday. It is a sensor smart three speed automatic washer with catalyst


Actually I didn't need a solution. The unit would not start. It was like no power was coming in. The outlet was good and usually if there is a power failute the unit flashes PF. Well I walked by in a couple hours later and and touched the start button and it worked. Got two loads of wash in. It must
have a loose connection or a dirty connector, but I'll wait until it happens again

Cannot find hard drive


I got the same problem on my 3200. Found out that the adapter was bad. Changed it and everything worked ok.

Emachine problems


Hi..

Since your computer is working but no display at all. Hope this steps would be helpful in your problem.


1. Turn on your computer, If the problem works again and no display.

2.Turn off your computer by pressing long your power botton until the fan stops properly.

3. Unplug you computer 220volts power chord at the back of your computer.

4. Reconnect again the 220volts power chord after 1 minute.
