Re: silence the pad butons

I would think this is a design feature in the keys, unless it comes from the speaker. In that case check the jeyboard settings in the control panel.

My right click mouse button stops working periodically any suggestions how to stop this from happening

Sage, The mouse may be fine. What may have happened is that the lever that you press as right click has a micro switch below it. This micro gets pressed and you get a right click. As time passes the gap between the lever and the switch increases and you have to click harder and then comes a time when this contact can not be made under normal circumstances. So place your finger in a different position so that the lever is pressed differently. You may still get a few thousand clicks before even this stops working.
Basically, the bottom line is that the mouse is getting old and needs replacement.

Touch pad not working on my ipaq hx4700

open the device and check the componets are not shorting out, when you droped it, with that much force you may of bent the leads inside or broken, if it bent you can fix it but you broke it than it is time to buy a new one, check the power source for that switch make sure it is okay.
you may of knocked something out of alinement.

Laptop touch pad doesn't work properly

Here is what I did to get the touchpad to start working again. My laptop is Gateway and a couple years old, running Windows Vista.

1. Start>Control Panel
2. Double-click on Mouse icon (or button, depending on how you're systems set up).
3. When a the Mouse Properties window pops up, choose the Device Settings tab.
4. Click on the Settings... button.
5. A new window pops up and on the right side there is a list of options - choose Tapping.
6. Once clicked, there is a check box that allows you to Enable Tapping.
7. Click OK to close out your windows and the tapping option should be enabled on your touchpad.

Hopefully this helps.

My finger mouse works just not the scroll feature

Check the scroll settings in Control Panel. Maybe it is disabled, or maybe something else.

Click the Start Orb (or Button in XP) and click Control Panel. There, search for Mouse Settings (or similar). In Vista, you can type what you want in the Search Box.
