I have an Acer Aspire 3050-1733. I cannot get the mouse to work. I've reloaded the drivers, I've checked device manager and there are no conflicts anywhere. I can attach an external mouse and things work fine. I've gone into the touchpad configure menu and it is enabled.
It worked one minute and then just stopped. What could I be over looking?

- Yes, that was one of the first things that I tried.
I had this trouble and realised that you can lock the mousepad. try unlocking it by holding the blue Fn button along with F7. Hopefully this should work

Do you run McAfee? If so did it auto-update right before it went out. Fourth one I've heard of this week all have been after the McAfee auto-update. Happened to me too on my Gateway M505
Have you tried reloading the driver for the mouse? R-

- I wouldn't think that a cable problem would act this way, but it might not hurt to check to make sure that it is seated correctly. There's not much to them, but I suppost that the pad assembly may have KO'd on you. R-

HI - MY ACER ASPIRE 3050'S SCREEN JIGGLES. Just started happening 2 days ago. Now sometimes the screen freezes and / or the screen gets too white for about 10 seconds then comes back to normal (but still jiggles). A techie told me it is probably a $30 part that needs replacing (he said it was a pretty common problem) but he didn't describe the part or the process too well. Some kinda linkage from the motherboard to the screen. He said that if I connected my laptop to an external monitor via VGA or whatever, and if there were no issues, that would suggest the linkage problem. Otherwise, maybe the motherboard had a problem. HELP!!!!
