I have a Panasonic TH-58PZ700U Which drops channels? Will have the channel one day and the next its gone then it will reappear! Is it the tuner going bad?

Seems to be just the digital channels that get dropped, i.e. channel 5 is analog and channel 5-1 is digital NBC! Will be watching the digital channel when all of a sudden it will no longer be there but the analog channel will be!

I would replace the DG Board. There hard to come by for this TV. I saw one on eBay about a week ago for $75.00 witch is a very good price for this part.

Hi Janet, Could you provide the number of your repair service. I have the same exact issue and I am unable to find a service repair technician who knows how to do this!

SOURCE: How do I set my PT-44LCX65 up to receive broadcast HDTV signals.

You should use the auto-program function in the customer menu. It will prompt you to select which antenna input you wish to program and then ask if you are on cable or receiving signals via "air" or "broadcast" mode. Allow the TV to load all the channels. You may notice that the auto program mode may move along quickly during the addition of analog channels and that during the scanning of the digital channels that it may look like nothing is happening. Patience is a virtue here. Wait until it has completely scanned both analog and digital bands and you will recieve both versions of the station's signal. If, for example, you have a local channel 5, the digital version will be 5-1, and so on.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Panasonic TH-L32S1OZ digital TV set. Message on

Make sure the cable is hooked up then press ok on your remote (or enter). If you have your tv hooked up a different way (like hdmi) just change the tv source to the correct one.

Tuner is possible but check set is in air and not cable band---I would connected a dvd to see rear inputs ok---there may be a way to route the antenna signal to one of those and bypass the tuner(any box with its own tuner can be used.)

If it has a digital tuner it should have a setting for auto program for that or the digital tuner may have a defect.

Channel 2, 3, 4, and five do not have volume the rest of the channels have volume.

If only tuner channels 2,3,4,5 have no audio and the rest of the tuner channels do have audio then it should be a issue with the source and not a tv issue. The tuner would output the audio from the tuner for all channels. You may wish to check with the cable provider to have them check the broadcast.

Off air digital signal

What brand of tv is it ? You could have a bad tuner or a change in the voltage supply line feeding the tuner . What type of antenna do you have ? outdoor or rabbit ears ? Also does it retain the channel line up or does it clear them as well ?
