My phone had a software update,I put it and now the phone doesn't want to turn on. its just on the galaxy mega screen. it keeps on and off

Alternate Master Reset Method

When powered off, press and hold the Volume up and the Home key.
Press the Power key, and then release when you see small blue lettering at the top. An Android guy laying on his back should be on the screen.
Press the Volume down key, and then highlight wipe data/factory reset.
Press the Power key.
Press the Volume down key until "Yes - delete all user data" is highlighted, and then press the Power key.
Press the Power key to reboot the device.

sounds like a network issue, do a factory restore from the settings just to make sure

Try removing the battery for a few seconds then replace it and attempt to boot up. If that doesn't work try holding the "volume down" button while turning the phone on...either one of them usually works for me..good luck! :)
