SOURCE: I have Black and decker electric lawn mower does not start

one of the problems i found with electric detectors was that they do not tell you if there is a break in the neutral cable so you could have a break there, another problem is that the levers can break inside the cover giving the impression that it should work but is not making contact with the switch ,hope this helps

Electric lawn mower stopped working

Take off the black plastic hood (4 screws), clean debris and check connections to, and condition of, shunted brushes. They're available from B&D parts for a few bucks.

My 18" 12 amp B&D mower has become loud and vibrates so much that the wheel height adjustment pops out. Any suggestions?

Most likely bent shaft or blade. Worst case motor is on the way out maybe bad bearing or something along those lines.

My black and decker lawn hog is vibrating like crazy and then when i push it through the lawn it wants to die out

The symptoms are typical of an unbalanced blade. There is either very uneven wear or you hit a rock or something stationary and it bent your blade. It could be build-up on the blade but it would have to be huge to throw everything off balance.

I HIT A ROCK WITH MY MM575 AND THE MOTOR STOPPED. IT WILL NOT START

Sounds as though you either broke or badly damaged the flywheel key. It is located on the shaft that comes up through the flywheel. If you have ever taken the cowling off, you know how. Just make sure to use the proper size and shape flywheel key. This key is designed to break in order to save the more valuable parts of the machine. Good luck...Lee
