Lint remaining in the bowl after wash.

I bought and lg turbodrum washing machine which about 2yrs old. I don't know what they washed in it but I keep getting lint as in dirt left in the bowl after a wash. I have put it through about 6 times with just water through but I can't seem to get rid of it. It is getting better but not perfect. It's as though they washed clothes with dirt in their pockets. Is there any way we can take the drum out and clean underneath.
Where are you supposed to put the laundry powder? It's very different from my last maching. Does the conditioner go in the plastic part that pulls out.? thats it for now.
