I have a 60g I also have the same problem disks will not eject
I did what you sugguested and it didn't work.
I held it for 10secs.
It just turned off.

i tried that and it sounded like it was going to come out but didnt, i dont have a blank screen it just keeps showing me game settings and wont let me load or take out the damn disk, its a 40gb.

Disk will not go in PS3. played fine yesterday and ejected game today and now wont go in. I already tried holding eject button for 15 seconds

your disk might hav been struck inside try taking it by pressing eject button and still u cant take it out means try remove the disk driver and take it out..however u cant do it properly so better to call som experience person and even u can try this site to solve the problem

Hi, best thing to do to eject disk is
1.power of the console
2. hold the eject button and the power button down at the same time
3. then reach around to the back of the console and put the switich on
4. hold for ten seconds and thhe disk should come out

My ps3 console froze and shutoff while playin dantes inferno.disk wont eject

If your PS3 has frozen then you will need to fix ti - this is caused by overheating on the main chips. To do this you can use a good repair guide or you can send it in and they will do it for you.

Ps3 wont eject a movie, tried turning it off and on, the blue light doesnt come on either, how do i get it to eject the disk

switch off ps3, right now before turning on the ps3 keep your hand pressed firmly down on the eject button and the on/off button simultainisly and then power up, it will make a loud fan noise but the game/dvd will pop out.

Mid game my console beeped and shutoff. Now it wont eject disk or turn on at all. Light goes Green, Yellow then flashes Red

your PS3 overheated, what you need to do is remove the power cable and hold the power button for 5 seconds to make sure that there is no power left, then plug it back in and press the eject button hold it down, it will power up and eject disk, if that fails, you need to RMA your ps3 to sony or you can try and return it to vendor with the game case or dvd case of the disk that is stuck they should replace both

My PS3 wont turn on it just flashes a yellow light then red light that beeps cant get disc out

I found a way to eject the disk:

Power off the PS3 on the main switch on the back of the console
Press and hold the Eject button
Turn on the main power switch
The PS3 LED will go green and the fan will spin at max speed
Wait a few seconds and press the eject button a couple of times, the disk should now eject
watch the PS3 die after 30s or so…

This procedure did not fix my PS3 but at least I got my disk back before sending it to Sony for repair.

Playstation 3 broken!

what probably happened is when you dropped it which why was it dropped in the first place. the track that ejects the disk was probably knocked out of place resulting in the problem with the ejecting of the disk. the only thing that i can possibly think of is to check for screws and open up your ps3 then check the disk ejection system and see what was jumbled around. hope this helps dude.

Ps3 problem

try ejecting it by going to the game logo on xmb press triangle and hit eject from there .....if that dont work turn it off then while turning it back on hit the eject button while its booting up (that works for PC's)

Hold down the eject button on the PS3 for like 10 seconds, and it will force eject it.

Did you try to restore default settings under system settings

if you still have problems ejecting the disk and your console is under warranty then contact sony for further advise on repair or replacement

Hi Odin247,

Press and hold the eject button for more than 10 seconds. Sony included a trick in the program to force eject. Hope this helps.
