I install a new window 7 but i think there is no sound driver? i dont know what happend but last window xp i heared a sound

Hi Baiza_92,

Whether you use Windows XP, Vista, or 7 the sound driver is motherboard specific which means the driver software is specifically made for the chip (IC) that is responsible for giving you the sound from the Line Out jack behind & OR Front of you unit.

Whenever you upgrade or change an Operating System, Follow these simple steps and note it down on a Notepad because you can never go wrong or make a mistake.
1st make sure you have formated your C: partition (i.e. your Primary Partition) then install the desired OS.
2nd Immediately after that, install your Motherboard drivers by using the Drivers CD that came along with your motherboard.
3rd Install a proper authentic Anti-virus software
4th and finally install all other software you would like to work with or that are a part of your routine PC work, like MS Office, Adobe Reader, MP3 player etc.

NOTE: If while installing your motherboard's drivers, you don't get sound on a reboot or otherwise, follow these steps before jumping to any conclusions.
1. Make sure that you have correctly inserted the Desktop Speakers' pin in the Line Out jack of the sound card.
2. Make sure that you have switched on the power of the desktop speaker system.
3. Make sure that the volume control icon has appeared in the task bar and if not, go to Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Device Properties> and under the Volume tag, click on the checkmark box where it says "Place volume control in Taskbar" and also make sure the "Mute" is NOT checked.
4. Go to the "Sounds" tag. Here make sure that if you select any sound scheme then the "Play" icon/button MUST turn active. If it doesn't then there's a hardware problem which you will not be able to solve it.

Hope this helps.

If the sound audio is block on windows xp how can you solve it by step?

if you are getting volume icon on task bar then dbl click it and increase the outputs by scrolling up. If you can't see the volume icon then go to control panel sounds and audio devices if you see everything disabled under volume tab then you need to re-install your sound card driver.

XP Pro only starts in Safe Mode

this is basically problem related to your hardware.. please check that you meet all the hardware requirements as well as you must have proper copy of that Xp to be installed. And if that so, then you must go BIOS settings by Pressing F8 key at booting time where you must change your booting sequence...Your problem will be solved.
if it doesn't work, then check all the drivers to be needed after installing the XP.
If the problem still persists, then you must reinstall XP.

Free hardware/softwaren to install ATI Catalyst Drivers 9.1

Basically the software you are downloading is not xp compatible, I had the same problem with my toshiba portable pc, also with ati radeon 9.1.
It's a pain as I would rather run xp than vista any day.
If you install an older driver it may work.

I cannot get usb to work when i install xp on computer

Reinstall windows to solve this problem... Because if your USB's are not installed then you will not ever able to install any new usb hardware with your Pc!

also change the windows version i:e if you are using windows Xp home edition then try to install Windows Xp professional editon instead.

I am sure that this will solve your problem!

Sound driver for dv2401tu laptop

Best tip is this:
make sure you didnot press "mute" on your laptop (this is often a small button or switch) or set your laptop volume to zero. Also check the volume settings in windows itself for volumes set to 0 or mute.

If all OK, download and install this file from here http://www.brothersoft.com/everest-home-edition-61488.html
it will tell you exactly all details about your laptop, including your soundcard details and most probably will give you a direct link to it's manufacturer. There you can mostly download drivers.

Please be so kind to let me know if this solved or helped.

Windows XP will not boot

Hi there, my name is Alex and Im here to help solve your problem.

It could be a number of problems.

1: Have you installed any new hardware or software? This can cause some conflictions. If there is any new hardware you have installed and your PC is constantly rebooting, then remove that hardware and try booting. If you have recently installed new software and getting the loop, then start windows in safe mode by pressing F8 before it boots windows. If you can access windows in safe mode, then uninstall any new software you may have added.

2: It could be you need a new power supply. They are very cheap to buy and I would recommend a qualified technician to install it for you

3: Your pc may be infected with a virus and has affected the boot file. Try to repair windows by using the windows xp disk. Insert the disk and run using the CD. You will then go through a few blue screens and press R to repair your windows xp installations

I hope this information has helped. Please let me know if you have any questions or further problems
