Ascaso Dream heating element gone - twice

The original heating element in my Ascaso Dream died after 24 months. I replaced it (the part cost £65 ~ 100 USD), and now 18 months later that one has gone too.

Having read similar reports about the Dream, I'm considering buying a new (different) machine, rather than another replacement element. That will be the 5th machine from supposedly quality manufacturers we've got through in a decade.
