check and see if your cruise control still works your problem probably lays with in a speed sensor you have an output vehicle speed sensor that can cause the problem and i say a vehicle speed sensor because you didnt say anything in reference to having a abs ight on on your dash if you do have that as well you could possibly need a wheel speed sensor as well but i would lean more towards vehicle speed sensor output sensor
Remove the wide plastic piece behind/underneath the front bumper. There are several 10mm bolts/screws to remove. (the screws are the outermost locations).
