Question about Dell OptiPlex GX520 PC Desktop

Hello, my name is fawad. i have dell gx520 ,2.8ghz processor with 2gb ram and 250gb h.d.,sir from last one week i have been facing a problem as i operates my computer it hangs after some time ,some times it happens after just 2 or 3 min and some time after many hours and sometimes it don't happen ,i have changed my ram and installed a new one in my pc, as i was thinking that it was my ram problem ,but it still hanging ,and moreover i don't have any type any type of electricity voltage problem in my house,because some of my friends are saying that my system is hanging due to electricity voltage ups and downs.plz i want a solution from u guys help me i came here with someone reference ,i hope u guys can solve my problem thank you

    i dont think its my registery problem because i have tried to fix it by intalling many windows but it occurs

    brother since i have brought pc in my house i clean it with a blower every sunday ,,and last time i have cleaned it today morning

Try running a registry cleaning program.
That might help.

    Another thing you can try is, take the cover off your computer and see if there is a lot of dust in the heatsinks of the CPU,video card and motherboard.

    If there is a lot of dust it must be cleaned out.

    If you are in a dusty area the heatsinks must be cleaned regularly...

Dell 1545 will not boot after ram installation


Before install the new ram, it is recommended that you wipe off the gold contacts of the new ram with some alcohol. You can also use pencil eraser to wipe off the contact. Did the new modules fit and lock down?

Sir,i m using dell vostro 1510 laptop(2gb ram,250gb hard disk, core2duo).i have "INTERNAL WEBCAM".my webcam is working properly when i open it in "my computer" in "XP" but when i install dell webcam...


Sometimes the driver that comes with windows is better than the one from the manufacturer's cd. I would try both and whichever one functions better is the one to use.Good luck to you.
