Question about Saeco Royal Exclusive 30153 Espresso Machine
I have a Saeco Royal Exclusive that is giving me a message VENTILATE when I looked this up in the manual under drainage it says that I should open the hot water valve and that will clear the line I do this and the water comes out hot but I still get the message. I am unable to do anything else on the machine. It has worked fine for 2000 coffees. I have done the regular descaling etc.what can I do? do I have to send it in? it seems as though the pump is working fine.
Try draining the machine. Page 37 of the user manual, Drainage. Place cup under the steam/hot water tube, turn knob clockwise around to 9. If the pump is ok, it will start automatically and start filling the cup. Drain about 1/2 cup of hot water and return knob counterclockwise to start position. If the flow meter is not damaged, the Ventilate message should be gone.

Have you seen any kind for leak prior to this ventilate message?
Sometimes if the boiler is leaking the flow meter gets damaged and causes a ventilate issue. Flow meter controls the amount of water that enters the machine. It is located directly below the boiler and gets water damage if the boiler leaks.
If you are getting a good water flow then theres a good chance that it is the flow meter.

Auto descale: To automatically descale your machine, press the scoop button or menu button if you have one, and hold it down until you enter the menu. Use the arrows on the left to scroll down until you come to Descale. Press enter and the machine will enter the mode to descale your machine. The process takes about 45 minutes. You don’t have to do a thing except mix a full water tank with descaling solution and have a container under the steam wand when your start. To start the descaling process, simply turn the steam knob. When the process is over your machine will say "Descale finished". Remove your water tank and rinse it out. Refill it with fresh water. Replace on the machine and start the descaling process over again to rinse your machine. Go back into your menu and scroll up or down 1 to signal descale and enter. Choose "Yes" and push enter so the machine will tell you when you need to descale again.
