You have the string wound the wrong way on the spool. Wind clockwise onto spool.

Starting up Ryobi Petrol Strimmer

full choke on , push petrol bubble 5 times then pull starter cord., with luck it will kick in to life after a 20/30 secs put on half choke , run again for 30 secs the no ckoke.

The main problem with Ryobi products is that they flood very very easly. So the more time you try and pump petrol into the carb the more it will flood . If that happenes then choke off and switch off and then just pull starter cord for about 30 secs then switch on and it could start if not prime it again as above good luck

I have been given a ryobi 306rt petrol strimmer. It starts and then cuts out, I'm not sure of the exact settings as to how you start it up and keep it runnng. Any help would be apprciated.

To give the inital fuel needle mixture settings i would need to know the type of carb. on the unit ie. zama, walboro ect. it should say on the carb.,it may take a little hunting for. Second check all the fuel lines running from tank to carb. checking for craks or breaks.

Changing head on ryobi rlt3725 strimmer electric

make sure all the screws are out you might have missed one. if you have them all out then VERY GENTLY pry it off, the gasket is probably just stick, if you still can't get it off go back and search for that last screw you forgot.
try getting on the mfg web site and look at the break down. to see what it shows make sure on doesn't come thu from the other side.
