Question about Hotpoint 24 in. FDW60 Free-standing Dishwasher
AL01 indicates activation of the anti flood device.
It sounds like water has leaked into the base of your machine.
Pull the appliance out, unplug it from the wall socket and tip it rearwards about 45 degrees. Drain the water out and once empty the anti flood should reset.
Try the machine again. If it faults during the test you may have a leak into the base.
Good luck with the repair
Hope this helps

Had same issue on FWD80, root cause seemed to be the lower spray unit had unscrewed from base over time and was sitting at an angle. After re-seating it correctly, the AL01 still showed so I did the "tilt 45 degrees backwards" thing. After mopping the floor ... the water leeks from the unit somewhere .... switched it back on, hit reset and it was fixed. Thanks for posting solution!
