Have you attempted printing directly on the printer via. pictbridge orthe inbuild card reader? this does sound like a problem with the printhead, or connection to it... try taking the print head out andreplacing it, it would need to be re-calibrated again when you do this, but if there is a connection issue this would most likely solve it. its possible also that the feed through for one colour of ink isslightly clogged or not drawing ink correctly (sounds like yellow)-this would mean that its not able to restock its yellow pallet quicklyenough while printing. you could attempt to clean it out yourself, orif its under warranty, see if they will replace your print head for you

Does an old PHD cause faded colors?

the PHD transfers the image to the printed page and when it starts to go bad the images can become dull or faded and even blurry or totally missing. Id recommend the PHD be replaced and it should resolve your issues.

The ABS break trouble light will come for aprox 8 starts then all will be fine for aprox 20 starts then repeat

Check for loose wires to the ABS module and have the module checked. This could be a bad Caliper but it sounds like it is the ABS module malfunctioning.

The pilot goes on and stay on but heater doesn't the thermostat its ok

Take the two wires going to the thermostat and cross them. If the unit starts, you have a bad thermostat. If it doesn't, at the heater put a jump wire across the terminals where the thermostat wires are connected to. If the unit starts, one of the wires going to the thermostat are broke. If it still doesn't start you may have a bad transformer. Check for 24 volts AC across the two terminals on the gas valve. If yes, bad gas valve. If no, bad transformer.

Replaced the alternator and voltage regulator, battery goes dead when lights are on at night. The fan belt is new and properly tightened. Any suggestions

Suggest that you recheck the connection on the voltage regulator!

Next, start the engine and place a good voltmeter across the battery terminals and read the voltage at idle with nothing on.
Next, turn on the headlights and read the voltage. If it drops more than 2 tenths of a volt (goes from 14.2 to less than 14 volts) the regulator is bad. If the voltage is always less than 13.5 with the engine running - chances are that you got a bad generator!!

Sounds like a bad solder connection in the sweep power supply. Not a repair for the novice I'm afraid. If you get it fixed before the set goes out completely, it should not be that expensive of a repair. Good Luck
