Sunquest pro 24 turned on and shut off after a few mins

Based on the symptoms you have described, it's possible that there may be an issue with the ballast or the lamp in your Sunquest Pro 24 tanning bed.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power source: Ensure that the tanning bed is plugged into a working electrical outlet and that the outlet is supplying the correct voltage. You can use a voltage tester to check the voltage.
  2. Check the ballast: The ballast is a device that regulates the electrical current to the lamp. If the ballast is faulty, it may prevent the lamp from lighting up. Check the ballast for any visible damage or loose connections. If you're comfortable with electronics, you can also use a multimeter to check the ballast's continuity.
  3. Check the lamp: If the ballast is functioning correctly, the issue may be with the lamp. Check the lamp for any visible damage or dark spots. You can also use a continuity tester to check the lamp's continuity.
  4. Check the timer: If the timer is not functioning correctly, it may prevent the tanning bed from turning on or lighting up. Check the timer for any damage or loose connections.
If you're unable to identify the issue, it's best to contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer's customer service for further assistance. Tanning beds use high-voltage electrical components that can be dangerous if mishandled, so it's important to take proper precautions and not attempt to repair the tanning bed yourself unless you're experienced with electronics.

They rely on ballasts and sometimes starters to light the tubes. Check the connections and if one ballast does all the tubes. Help in the link

I have a Sunquest Pro 16s tanning bed. I just put all new bulbs in and tanned 2 times then it quit working. the timer is still going but the bulbs went off and the fan stopped.

Have you checked to make sure the bulbs are inserted properly? If everything checks out well I would contact Sunquest customer service.

Sunquest 24s wont do nothing

Have a trained technician to check for blown fuse on back of bed and then for burned out wiring in top and/or bottom of bed. Voltage going to bed may also be a cause. These beds are sensitive to wrong voltages.

Wiring diagram for sunquest pro 24 tanning bed

I do not have a diagram, but the contactors are really simple. You have 2 power switches on top of contactor and 2 wires going to the coil. There should be 4 larger wires on top, 2 in and 2 out.

If any of the crimp-on wire fasteners are blackened, then have a trained technician to replace the fastener. If bed comes on when pushing down on contactor with a plastic ink pen, then check the timer by turning on the timer and checking the voltage at the Main Relay Coil. If no voltage, then the timer is bad.
