What is the solution to tally t2280+ which innitializes continously after powering on?

Tally Genicom 2280+ initializes, gets to load paper and in a few seconds it starts the initializing process and continues doing that. What is the solution?

The printer needs to be calibrated.

SOURCE: paper width error on tally genicom 2280+ printer

Power ON printer holding down ONLINE button, release it after TESTMENU is on display. Press NEXT few times, enter APM or somthing like that (or APW? cant remember), switch it to OFF. Press ONLINE. Thats it! Greetings.
ps. this is procedure direct from polish division of tallygenicom servicedesk. it works for me perfectly!!

SOURCE: "check ribbon " error is comming on my tally 2280+ serialprinter

The ribbon I had installed (code 061627) which says it is the correct one is in fact not. the drive pin on the printer slips while feeding the ribbon.

I have fitted a (code 062471) and now it is printing fine again.

a google search reports both these codes as compatible but they are quite clearly, not.

That error means the that Printhead is not where the printer expected it to be. Clean the emitter grid (under the Printhead) with a soft cloth and clean the sensor with canned air. If that does not clear it up it is normally the Main Board Assembly.

There is a T2280 and a T2280+ they take different Main Boards so make sure you get the right one.

My tally genicom serial printer, paper does not load any page when i press load button, when i load page manually and press load button it contiously page pass what shall i solve the problem.?

CLEAN PAPER SENSOR........ IT WILL LIE IN BACK SIDE OF THE PAPER AFTER LOADING.

T 2280 printer says menu locked. how do I unlock it?

To unlock the menu on the 2280 power the printer on holding down the SETUP button.
Keep the SETUP button held down whilst the printer initialises, the menu will then be unlocked.

Tallygenicom 5040 passbook printer problem

Right, the problem lies in these triangles. They're part of what's called "lower paper feed unit" and are drien by an electromagnet to start/block when needed. This magnet has a tiny problem letting go, so the triangular wheels stop in wrong positions, blocking the paper. The best solution is to change the "clutch" with the latest UCL version (3), you'll know it for having aluminium toothed wheel rather then plastic ones.
