Please give more information, on how you found the problem. Have you tried the video output connected to another monitor to see if the video processor circuits are still functional. You can do this by using cables to the video output of the dvd player to the input of your television. Usually Three wire connections. The yellow connector is for the video and the red and white connectors are for the audio. Make these connections and use your television on a alternative signal source input. This is usually a function button on the television or the remote control. The function is usually labeled input. You can find the correct set-up information with pictures in the owners manuals of the products. If after testing the video ouput from the dvd player. You find that you do have output, then you may have a connection problem between the main board and the LCD screen. These connectors are usually ribbon cables and are a yellow or golden color. They are connected by a clamping connector. The connector is usually released by using a small screw driver to release the clamping device. You can check the connector and see if it looks like it still working. If the connector looks crimped, torn or bent badly it may need replacement. If they look ok , then you may want to use some contact cleaner to clean the connection points and the connector. You can do this by spraying a small amount of contact cleaner on a cotton swab. Take the swab and wipe the connector, cleaning the connection points and then use a small brush with a small amount of contact cleaner to clean the connector. You can also use a can of compressed air to blow all dust and debris from the connector and the circuit board. Make sure to clean all areas of the board as dust and dirt act as a heat blanket and cause overheating problems on the ciricuit board. If all of this seems over your head. Have a friend help you. Or take it to a repair shop for evaluation. There are many helpful videos on you tube that can show you how to do the disassembly and cleaning of the player . Look under cleaning and repairing portable dvd players. If you have a vidoe processor failure, then it may not be repairable. The expense may be more than the cost of just replacing the dvd player. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
