Sound problem on Acer Aspire 5315

I have a problem related to sound on Acer Aspire 5315. OS is Windows SP3. in Device Manager the problem appear at High Definition Audio Bus.
I tryed to install form Acer sitr the Audio driver but it doesn't work.
Can you help Me?

I've had this problem before; it's the internal 56k modem. you must have uninstalled it. just find, download and reinstall the driver for it.

Hi Bonnie,

You should check Windows 7 Control Panel's device manager. See if the sound is disabled or if it indicates that it "has a problem" Try to re-enable it - or failing that - uninstall the sound card and click the box that says "remove files". Reboot with an internet connection (wifi or wired). Let windows detect the "new" sound hardware. Check any hardware volume control and set to a mid - high level point. After Windows downloads and installs the driver - follow instructions - reboot if asked. Then test the sound. Check software volume controls in control panel and verify that the sound is enabled. Try using the headphone jack if internal speakers are not producing sound. Once sure that the sound card is loaded, enabled and volume is set to mid - high and neither the internal speakers or external headphone do NOT work, you can consider selecting a new sound source that can use a USB port or PCMCIA (PC Card Slot) depending on your needs and port / slot availability on the laptop. No sound on acer aspire 5611. I have downloaded all drivers, as well as Realtek HDAudio. Still nou sound! Please help?! Am running XP SP3. There is only one ? device, namely PCI Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV...


Just for what it's worth, I use the site devid.info for drivers. It has a driver agent as well which will scan for drivers too if needed (it's the only driver "Scanner" that works that I've found). That said, I searched for that device and could not find it on that site.

Pleas .. problem sound cannot working in aspire m1641 os winxp sp3 . drivers cannot remove, Sources drivers cd acer , download link acers, stiil not work sound.. thanks


Try uninstalling the sound card driver, and let windows reboot. This should let windows re-installed the original driver that came with your acer.

Acer aspire 5610Z mic problem


nope, PCI Flash memory doesn't have anything to do with your mic issue. This may just be a configuration issue. Go to control panel -- sounds and audio devices. Go to Voice Recording under Voice tab. It should not be grayed out. Click Test hardware and follow the instructions. This should help you resolve the problem. If all else fail, reinstall the audio driver.

Sound driver is not installed from the site .either it is corrupt

go here and scroll down until you see the realtek audio driver then download it. Then run the driver (install file) on your laptop and you should have your sound back.

It may show up under USB devices, your audio is Realtek, check to see if it's showing up in device manger. Old trick is to remove the hardware by deleting it from device mgr, reboot and it should pick up the hardware and then install the software for it. The realtek is what I am describing, make sure you physically remove the magic jack before doing this.

Sound problems


well, the driver is not installed properly.. you must install it first so that u can use your cam.. f installed already, check your connections and make sure your cam is detected by your computer

No sound in aspire 5315


- I guess you downgraded your system to windows xp, If that the case you have to check if the system has an internal modem .If so, please download the driver for that PCI modem.

- I have already checked the modem that was already install on your system(V.92 56Kbps* data/fax modem,)
- You have to download the windows xp driver for this modem. or download chipset driver for windows xp
