My shure ksm44a mic will work only when the ac is on

The KSM44A does not care about the humidity. However, it does require phantom power from the mixer. Take it to a friend to see if it works fine into their sound system.

Shure beta 57A ..low recording volume from acoustic piano ...Directly to laptop no mixer used

are you using an interface?
Your level will be always be lower if you are going straight in.
Your interface and mixer will help you get the correct level in to your system before recording and also shaping the sound after the recording. You just need to get more gain up in there

Why won't wireless mic turn on the "Ready" light on receiver?

Make certain the mic and the receiver are in the same exact frequency band. There are stickers on both products that list the frequency band.

New Shure PG4. RF and audio fm mic OK to PG4 but can't get mic to work with Peavy 680E. Tried different inputs, cables. Other wireless unts works OK. Wonder if pinout is wrong. Using balanced in/out.

Sounds like a complicated issue. Many things could cause this symptom. Try calling Shure at 800-516-525 to see if they can help troubleshoot.

My shure sm48 is registering almost no volume on my marantz pmd430. Ive changed the connector cord. no difference. other cardiod mics work fine, so the problem is the mic, not the recorder

Undo the set screw near where the xlr cable would connect. Use needle nose pliers to gently pull out the connector. Check to see if the connections are solid. Some of the sm48 have switches for on and off, so it could be that as well. hope this helps.

Hi,

Please check if the gain in the microphone is open.
Ther's a little hole where you can adjust the gain.

Good luck,

WL184 shure lavalier mic and T4N

The WL184 will not work with the T1G. The T1G does not supply the 5 volts bias that is needed for the WL184.
