Question about Panasonic TH-42PD50U 42 in. Plasma EDTV
Brand new 46" Panasonic Viera plasma(TH-46PZ80U). We put it over our fireplace, which doesn't get used but has a switch on the wall to turn on the blower. All was working perfectly until I accidentially flipped the blower switch on tonight and it caused a breaker to blow. I flipped the breaker back on, but the plasma TV won't respond to the remote or to the buttons on the tv now. The power light turns on and the screen has a faint glow, but there's no picture and no sound. The TV actually turned off & on by itself at one point. I tried unplugging it from the wall for 1 hour to do a hard reset(?) but no change. Please help! Do I need to exchange it or can it be remedied at home? It's 3 days old and we purchased the TV & extended warranty at BestBuy.
I would use the warranty at Bestbuy at that point. Opening up the TV would most likely void the warranty.
