I have a Panasonic HD 37 inch, exact model is TH-37PX50U. There is a horozonital line through the middle of the screen and poor quality on each side of the line creating a split screen. This has occured after turning on the TV and over time fades awhile but dont completely. Anyone with knowledge of what is going on or how to fix it?

Some components in circuit areas that address the screen data are starting to fail. They've become thermo sensitive. The screen is addressed in X-Y cordinance with addressing and data.

The manufacture service rep would fix the problem by determining exactly which circuit board(s) must be swapped out.

If the fault is on the back plane of the screen itself, then the set would be far too expensive to service. Servicing these sets in general is usually fairly expensive.

You can take the set in to the factory service rep and ask for an estimate. Normally these reps will ask for a deposit for the cost of the estimate because they have to pay their tech to work on the set.

3 PANASONIC TVS HOOKED UP TO CABLE SYSTEM AND ARE ON 37" PANASONIC TH-37PX50U WORKS FINE BUT THE OTHER 2 TVS DO NOT WORK. THE CABLE SYSTEM HAS BEEN CHECKED TWICE AND WE ARE TOLD IT IS OK BY TIME WARNER...

unhook 1 tv at a time leaving 2 tvs each time hooked up. try every combanation Possable to see if it's a tv problem or if when you have all 3 tvs hooked it makes the signal weak. this can happen cable guys say no but it can been there done that. if 2 works and 1 dont in every combanation the problem is in the cable system. most cable guys check the signal outside. with the splitter block unhooked. this gives a false reading.

I have a Panasonic 37 inch Plasma Viera 37PX50U The color has suddenly turned to all green and purple. Would like to reset factory color settings.

Hi dennisreno,
You should be able to set the tv back to factory default settings from the menu.
I will see if I can find the user manual and give exact directions.
Let me know if you find the reset.

Plasma tv

Check the cable line thats attached to the bad set on another set side by side. If the other set still has no channels your going to need to trouble shoot or replace the tuner control bad and the tuner assy.
