Some components in circuit areas that address the screen data are starting to fail. They've become thermo sensitive. The screen is addressed in X-Y cordinance with addressing and data.
The manufacture service rep would fix the problem by determining exactly which circuit board(s) must be swapped out.
If the fault is on the back plane of the screen itself, then the set would be far too expensive to service. Servicing these sets in general is usually fairly expensive.
You can take the set in to the factory service rep and ask for an estimate. Normally these reps will ask for a deposit for the cost of the estimate because they have to pay their tech to work on the set.
