when the processor on the set detects a problem it will shut the set down for safety. it could be many things. technicians have a device that can read the errors that the processor has detected.

No , if fuse was blown you would not get the popping. How old is unit ? It sounds like your high volt splitter. common problem with rca. repair should not cost more than 250.00. you will want to have chassis number and manu date for help

Replace CP150 on the deflection board and that should take care of the problem since it starts once in a wnile if it didnt start ever then you would need the 259296 flyback and the CP150 Capacitor.

internal / external selector switch on back of tv near inputs or setting in menu under settings or sound labeled - internal amplifier/ external amplifier.
