Question about Acer (90.18612.36B) Computer Speakers
I HAVE NO SOUND FROM MY SPEAKERS OTHER THAN A CRACKLE SOUND WHEN i TURN THEM ON AND OFF
If this is an onboard sound card then you need to make sure that the jumper to enable it on the motherboard is in the correct position and its there ( sometimes when you get a motherboard they supply you with the jumper pin in a plastic bag but never actually install it so you will need to refer to your manual for this )
Also ensure its enabled in the bios / cmos.
If this is a dedicated sound card such as a PCI sound card then make sure the latest driver is installed and also finally ensure that the cable(s) are plugged into the correct ports ( generally green for audio out, pink for microphone and blue for line in which is generally used for if you want to connect a tape player or some external device to your computer and record from that excluding a microphone obviously )
If you are still having issues then I would test the speakers on a known working computer and if its still an issue then its down to the speakers or how the speakers are wired so if those are under warranty then get them replaced if not and they are old then maybe try and fix them yourself.
